| Washington Return is an original linocut printed directly from the block using a hand press. The print is signed, numbered, and dated in pencil. As are a few other linocuts currently available, Washington Return was cut and proofed a few times in the early 1970's but not edition printed until recently. The image measures 9 1/2" x 13 3/4" and is printed in an edition of 100 on archival Rives lightweight buff paper measuring 13" x 17 1/2". Washington Return is based on a scene viewed in the early 1970's in the state of Washington and follows a previously made linocut entitled Washington. |
