Turn of the Century is an original wood engraving printed directly from the block using a hand press. The print is signed and dated in pencil but is one of a few remaining artist's proofs. The original edition printed in the early 70's and limited to 25 impressions has been sold out. The image measures 6" x 9" and is printed one color on a archival quality off white Rives paper measuring 9 1/2" x 13". The print was inspired by a circa 1900's house located in the midwest. Wood engraving, because it is executed on an endgrain block yeilds extraordinary detail as seen in this example.
