| Amish Farmer is an original linocut printed directly from the block using a hand press. Similar to the print Farmyard, the block for Amish Farmer was cut and proofed a few times in the early 70's but not editioned until recently. The image measures 7" x 10 1/4" and is printed in an edition of one hundred on archival Rives lightwieght buff paper measuring 9 1/2" x 13 1/4". The subject was inspired by the Amish population living in the Southeastern Pennslyvania county of Lancaster, next to my native York county. |
