| This is an authentic,
original Picasso poster for a 1948 Exhibition at Musee D'Antibes,
France. Rare, hard to find. Only 100 printed on various color
paper. Printed letterpress in Cannes . Paper size 20"x 25".
black ink on salmon paper , good condition, slight staining,
small tear lower right. Provenance available. This poster was
designed by Claire Batigne, an artist and friend of Picasso for
Picasso's first exhibit of his ceramic work (mostly plates) made
in Vallauris, France at the Madoura Pottery after World War Two.
Claire Batigne, also a ceramic artist, and her husband Rene Batigne,
were co-owners of the Tapis Vert pottery in Vallauris, and were
close working associates of Picasso for nearly a decade. The
design was executed by Claire Batigne under the supervision and
authorization of Picasso, the plate image being based on an original
Picasso drawing. The story of this design and its execution is
